Before the start of the semester, please remember to register as present in Peppi. The deadline is July 31, 2025. Also, don’t forget to pay the student healthcare fee (FSHS) by March 15, 2025 through Kela’s website.

Tutors
The role of tutors is to assist students and provide peer support, as well as to promote student well-being. You can ask us any questions — big or small. We tutors are here for you.

The student union runs thanks to its students. You can apply to become an active member of HUMAKO and help decide what kind of activities your student union offers. Join a great group of people to make your own and others’ study time more enjoyable!
Other activities and events
As a student at Humak you can join the student union HUMAKO as a member. As a member of the student union HUMAKO, you become part of the HUMAKO community and gain access to both local and nationwide student benefits and discounts. The membership quickly pays for itself!
You can get discounts on various student events, different products (which you can browse on platforms like Kide.app), travel and food. Degree students are also entitled to familiar student benefits from VR, Matkahuolto, and Kela. The HUMAKO mobile membership card can be found in Slice and Kide.App, where you can also browse available benefits. HUMAKO is part of the Opku+ network, which includes student unions from other universities of applied sciences. As a HUMAKO member, you also get member discounts on events and products from these student unions.

Yogobe

- Create your account following the instructions you receive.
Student Discounts
Membership in the HUMAKO student union is worthwhile because it grants you numerous student discounts and benefits on various services, such as food, drinks, and essential items for students. As a degree student, you also get local transportation, VR (Finnish railways), Matkahuolto, and Kela student benefits with your HUMAKO membership card.
As a member, you can purchase student overalls at half price. Sample overalls arrive at the campus at the beginning of the academic year for you to try on.
Housing
In the Helsinki metropolitan area, student housing is provided by the Foundation for Student Housing in the Helsinki Region (HOAS). HOAS offers apartments in Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen and Vantaa. You can submit a housing application to HOAS once you have received confirmation of your study place.
