HUMAKO´s Representative Council Elections October 29th – November 5th 2025

The Central Election Committee of HUMAKO has approved a total of 20 applications
for the Representative Council. Since there are more than 15 candidates, the Student Union will organize the Representative Council elections entirely electronically, in accordance with the
decision of the Central Election Committee.
The voting period begins on October 29th at 9:00 a.m. and ends on November 5th at 3:00 p.m.
All members of HUMAKO who have paid their membership fee no later than October 20 at 3:00 p.m. are eligible to vote in the election.

You can find a suitable candidate for yourself through candidate introductions or the
election compass! On HUMAKO’s website, you can get to know the candidates starting October 21st 2025, and on the same day, the election compass for the Representative Council
elections will be launched. The election compass reveals the candidates’ opinions on
various questions. Links to the election compass and candidate introductions will be
added to the Representative Council section of HUMAKO’s website.
The Representative Council is composed of Humak´s students and its members are
called representatives (edaattori in Finnish). The Representative Council holds the
highest decision-making power in the Student Union and guides the work of the
Student Union’s Board, which handles the daily operations of the organization. The
Representative Council meets three times a year in Helsinki, and additional meetings
are held online as needed.
The duties of the Representative Council include, among others:
- Electing members of the Board and student representatives
- Approving the guiding documents of the Student Union
- Deciding on the strategy and other policy documents of the Student Union
- Deciding on the membership fee of the Student Union
